The recipe for clouds is simple on the face of it: water vapor, air, and dust. But they can be puffy white against a blue sky — or be a harbinger of an incoming storm. They can change shape in front of our very eyes under certain conditions. They can be as visible as anything else on a clear day but can also obscure our view. And much like a memory — no two are the same.
This series is all printed on NASA instrument paper from the Apollo-era, resulting in unique (1/1) prints where clouds’ organic forms can become even further abstracted. Just as external atmospheric forces create a cloud’s structure, the making of this work evolves these contours into something new, yet strangely recognizable.
